W. Tennis gives Sadaka a Senior Day send-off
Friday afternoon on Senior Day, Lauren Sadaka's name resounded through the crowd. The senior co-captain was in the middle of her final stellar home performance during Penn's 7-0 win over Columbia. By MAX WEISS Staff Writer weiss@dailypennsylvanian.com Emily Wolf and Lauren Sadaka are at two very different stages in their collegiate tennis careers. W. Tennis | Working towards the weekend
The clock on court two of Levy Tennis Pavilion read 6:30. Officially, practice begins at four o'clock and ends at six o'clock, but sophomore Alexa Ely and freshman Emily Wolf had just finished hitting. Ely's day of class and tennis began with an early-morning individual session with interim coach Sara Schiffman while most Penn students were still sleeping. 03/30/09 5:00am
W. Tennis | Ranked rivals romp on Red and Blue
Down 7-4 and facing match point, juniors Ekaterina Kosminskaya and Maria Anisimova were on the brink of losing the doubles point in their match against No. 48 Princeton Saturday. Kosminskaya extended the match by rifling a cross-court return to set up a strong volley down the line for a winner. 03/27/09 5:00am
Sports Update | Princeton loves W. Tennis
Princeton's women's tennis team defeated Penn, 7-0, at Levy Tennis Pavilion Saturday. The 48th-ranked Tigers played very well top to bottom. However, the scoreline did not tell the whole story of the match. West coast unkind to W. Tennis
For the past four years, spring break for the Penn women's tennis team has meant a one-week excursion to the West Coast to battle against some of the country's premier tennis competition. Historically the trip has been a tough one for the Quakers as they have compiled a 7-10 record in the past four seasons. 02/27/09 5:00am
W. Tennis | Penn hoping for flu shot in the arm
The Penn women's tennis team has had five different lineups in as many matches this season. On a team that has been plagued by sickness and injury, the Quakers are hoping for a common stroke and consistency that has been sorely lacking in the young season. 02/26/09 5:00am

W. Tennis | Young Quakers look to come out of shells
While competing in juniors, players learn how to work for themselves. Matches at a collegiate Division I level take on a deeper meaning. "Your individual win is just as important as your teammate winning," senior co-captain Lauren Sadaka said. "It's a transition. 02/16/09 5:00am
W. Squash | Crimson spoil tourney hopes
Heading into the season ranked No. 2, the women's squash team had its eyes on returning to the finals of the Howe Cup with dreams of winning the national championship. Unfortunately for the Quakers, they failed to reach that goal this weekend. Although Penn won 8-1 over Cornell in the first round, its run was stopped by Harvard in the semifinals Saturday in Cambridge, Mass. 01/29/09 5:00am
W. Squash | Opportunity lost
PRINCETON, N.J., - Sydney Scott was growing irritated by Neha Kumar's uncanny shot-making ability. In the decisive fifth game, after yet another miraculous Kumar recovery, Scott thrust her racquet at the court in frustration at her 4-1 deficit. Although she did give up the next three points, instead of letting her anger get the best of her, the Penn junior rattled off eight straight points to cap off a captivating performance. 01/28/09 5:00am
W. Squash | Jousting at Jadwin
Fractured tibia or not, senior co-captain Alisha Turner would not miss playing Princeton. Last year Turner battled through her match in the national championship against the Tigers while nursing that injury which she had sustained a few days before. "I guess I have a high pain threshold," Turner said. 01/14/09 5:00am
W. Squash | The coach can play, but can they?
It's a good thing that coaches can't play for their teams. If they could, the Penn women's squash team would be facing a tough task in tonight's match at Franklin and Marshall. The Diplomats' men's and women's head coach, John White, was ranked No. 1 in the world in March 2004, and retired from professional squash in October as No. 12/05/08 5:00am
W. Squash looks for Goodwin in return
Emily Goodwin extends her arm straight back at a high angle, the ball bounces in front of her, she bends her knees and accelerates her racquet head through the rising ball. While this stroke is routine on a squash court, it's especially sweet for the Penn senior and co-captain. 11/24/08 5:00am

Field Hockey | Cloud's lifting: Four straight for Quakers
It was a fitting end to Senior Day. "Nina gave me a great pass," said Eng, who scored in her fifth-straight game. 10/27/08 5:00am
