Senior Goodbye from Julia Rubin | Figuring It All Out
I can confidently say I’m sick of the “then” and the “now” — I’m ready for the “next.” 11/24/09 1:46am

Penn Law professor to hear NFL arbitration
Penn Law professor Stephen Burbank, the "Special Master" of the NFL since 2002, will arbitrate the salary cap allegations between the NFL and the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. Burbank worked extensively last spring and summer during the NFL lockout and in the months leading up to the lockout. If you haven't been following along, the NFL penalized the two teams for overloading contracts in 2010 in order to take advantage of a salary cap loophole. 03/14/12 5:02pm
Jerome Allen to join CBS Sports Network
The Quakers may not be going to the NCAA Tournament, but Penn coach Jerome Allen will be joining the CBS Sports Network as an NCAA analyst. 03/12/12 5:20pm
Mr. Bilsky, tear down this seasonal air structure!
Today, in all its 66º glory, I went for a run through the wonderful Penn Park. It's been called a "milestone for Philadelphia" and "healthy fun" (Amy Gutmann, September, 2011), an "Exclamation point" and "really fantastic" (Steve Bilsky, September, 2011), and "an urban oasis" (Me, right now). Penn park is all of these things. 02/18/12 12:18pm
Tyler Bernardini limited with 'health issues' in win over Cornell
Sophomore Steve Rennard got his first career start Friday night, in place of senior Tyler Bernardini. Both players were listed among six probable starters at guard before the game. Bernardini did come off the bench, playing 22 minutes and scoring nine points on 3-of-8 shooting. 01/13/12 12:28am

All-time scoring update
After I went back and forth several times checking my math tonight, I figured I would share my corrected findings on Penn's all-time scoring list. 07/25/11 8:43pm
Football picks up Texas Tech transfer
The Quakers have welcomed Texas Tech transfer Wide Receiver Ty Taylor. Penn Athletics confirmed the transfer today, though the roster will not reflect as such until September (at which time all other transfers and walkons, including Tommy Eggleston, will be added). Taylor redshirted his freshman year at Tech, and high school information on him is tough to find. 06/08/11 4:44pm

NCAA releases Academic Progress Rates
The annual academic progress rate (APR) scores — tracking classroom performance of Division I teams — were made available by the NCAA today. We spent all year writing about how the Quakers do on the field, so let's take a look at how they do in the classroom. 05/20/11 11:55am
Dau and Zack in Africa
While much of Penn heads to New York for summer internships on Wall Street, a couple Quakers are taking a decidedly different route. 04/23/11 5:42pm
W. Lax Ivy League tourney coming back to Philly
It doesn't get much better than this: Homefield advantage? check. No. 1 seed? check. Shot at redemption? 04/19/11 2:19pm
It's tailgate season again
One of the best initiatives of the Athletic Department and the Red and Blue Crew last fall was their trying to seed a tailgate culture before football games outside of Franklin Field. 04/02/11 10:53am
Quick hits from future and former Quakers
Those of you who follow the obscure ESPN channels might have seen this week that Penn commit Greg Louis and his Dwyer (Fla.) High School teammates played in the ESPN Rise National High School Invitational. 03/25/11 2:57pm
Dau Jok's incredible story
Most Penn basketball fans know freshman guard Dau Jok as the kid with the big smile, always one of the first off the bench to dole out high-fives to his teammates. 03/22/11 1:39pm
The Palestra, reviewed
I was recently directed to a new website, stadiumjourney.com, which reviews different sports venues, and their review of Penn's own Palestra. The survey hits on the main points one would expect from someone taking in the historic Cathedral of College Basketball. 03/20/11 4:32pm
Zack Kemmerer, All-American
Two items to share following Penn 141-pounder Zack Kemmerer's big weekend at the Wells Fargo Center. 02/18/11 1:28pm
Mano-A-Mano: Volume III
Four straight losses have dropped the Quakers into the middle of the Ivy League pack as quickly as you can say "Back to the drawing board." So with the league title realistically out of Penn's grasp, how should Jerome Allen proceed? Mano-A-Mano has been on a bit of a hiatus, but while Penn fans may not be getting an Ivy title this season, we're bringing you what you really want: a lengthy installment of the Esteves-Kotloff Battle of Brawl-nut Street. 02/17/11 8:28pm
Princeton gets some props
When ESPN color commentator, studio analyst and basketball writer Jay Bilas released a list of "the most respected" college basketball players in the country today, I did not expect to see any Ivy Leaguers. 01/26/11 1:09am
