College junior wins Beinecke Scholarship to fund graduate studies in English literature

College junior Misha McDaniel is the 13th Penn student to receive the $34,000 award since its founding in 1975, and is one of 18 Beinecke Scholars chosen from applicants across the United States. 

History prof. Walter Licht will step down as Civic House faculty director in June

Licht, who is in his 43rd year at Penn, has served as Civic House's Faculty Director since 2002.
