Eggleston's Take: This is everything, ain't it?
He tosses a couple blades of grass in the air and watches them blow away. Turning back to his caddie, a smile spreads across Roy McAvoy's face as he says, "This is everything, ain't it? 02/09/12 3:39pm
Jeremy Lin gets the best of Wizards, Ryan Wittman tells dad he guarded Lin better
Last night the Jeremy Lin train rolled through the woeful Washington Wizards, 107-93, behind another great game from the hottest Asian-Ivy-League-turned-pro-athlete to hit New York since, well, ever. On the losing end was the Wizards interim coach Randy Wittman. Name ring a bell? 02/08/12 4:25pm
ESPN recognizes Penn-Princeton as one of the great college basketball rivalries
Penn is making another appearance in the national news as Rivalry Week continues. Though the Quakers don't play the Tigers this week, ESPN listed the Penn-Princeton rivalry as one of the great rivalries in college basketball. When you attend one of the schools, "a dislike for the other is handed out with your dorm key," Dana O'Neil writes. ESPN lists eight categories, choosing "a game -- not the game, mind you, but a game, as in an example -- that encapsulates that quality." O'Neil categorized Penn-Princeton as the 'History' rivalry, noting that in the 56 years since the Ivy League formed in 1956, Penn or Princeton has won or shared the league title 47 times. 02/01/12 11:46pm

The Conflict of an Ardent Duke Fan on New Year's Eve
Our friends over at the Duke Sports Blog sent us the story of a lifelong Duke basketball fan who just can't cheer against Penn tomorrow. I have always been a college basketball fan because I enjoy the fact that many a game, and even championship, has been decided by kids who will never again touch a basketball competitively. I have been an ardent Duke fan since the early 1980s and, like any other college basketball fan, rode the rollercoaster of the many highs and lows. 12/28/11 1:24pm

Game 18- Harvard: The Good, Bad and the Ugly
Last night's game against Harvard was absolutely an instant classic. It's pretty difficult to summarize all the ups and downs, but here goes: The Good: I could go with anything from Zack Rosen's clutch play down the stretch to the incredibly electric atmosphere in the Palestra, but I've got to make this one about the whole Penn team's true grit in the comeback and overtimes. They were down 18 with 15:43 left, but they weren't out. 01/31/11 1:02am
