Harvard, Cornell bag commitments
Here are two recruiting notes for a rainy Tuesday in Philadelphia:
- Harvard secured the commitment of Corbin Miller, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Utah, who reportedly will not enter as a class of 2011 recruit, but instead take a two year Mormon mission and join the Crimson in 2013. Miller is listed as having had offers from Gonzaga, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Boston College. This is a strong pull for what may shape up to be an incredible Harvard team a few years down the line, though Miller won't be there for some time.
- Cornell added power forward Deion Giddens to its list of commitments, bringing in substantial size with the 6-foot-9, 195 lb. Arizona native. He had received offers from Princeton and Columbia, but chose the Big Red after visiting Princeton last week.
