Great in the classroom, but on the track...
If you read Wednesday's DP (and of course you did, right?), you saw the letters to the editor from third grade students at the Penn Alexander School. While I was quite impressed by their writing skills, the school's track team didn't do so well in its 4x100 relay just now. It finished last in its heat with a time of 56.51 seconds, almost six seconds behind heat winners H.R. Edmunds.
I know there are many people in the Penn community who spend time at Penn Alexander, and I have the greatest respect for the work you do in the classroom. Hopefully, next year's Penn Alexander team will have done a little more work on the track as well.
