
Ahead of the Super Bowl, Rodin College House and Harnwell College House are set to have watch parties.
Credit: Jean ParkIn anticipation of the Eagles taking on the Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, The Daily Pennsylvanian has compiled a list of all the watch parties occurring in Philadelphia.
Whether you’re a die-hard Eagles fan or just interested in Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, here are all the spots on or near campus to watch the game.
University Life at Penn is hosting a Super Bowl viewing party in the Houston Hall game room from 6-9 p.m., providing pizza, salad, and drinks. Penn's Fine Arts and Design Board will also host a T-shirt screen print and giveaway on Friday at 12 p.m. until supplies run out at the Charles Addams Fine Arts Hall.
College Houses
Many college houses will be hosting watch parties:
Harnwell College House will host their Super Bowl watch party at their rooftop lounge starting at 6 p.m., offering light refreshments and snacks.
Rodin College House's pre-game day festivities will include cookie decorating, bracelet making, and themed coloring. They will also have Eagles temporary tattoos. The celebration will be on Feb. 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. at M30. On game day, Rodin is hosting a viewing party at 6:30 p.m. in the rooftop lounge, complete with pizza, wings, sweet treats, as well as trivia and prizes.
Harrison College House is starting game day early with a Super Bowl Sunday brunch starting at 11 a.m. at the rooftop lounge. The event includes a build-your-own charcuterie board and breakfast foods.
The watch party begins at 6 p.m. at the Heyer Sky Lounge in conjunction with the Mayor’s Scholars Program. There will be games and food.
Gutmann College House is holding a Super Bowl watch party in the Main Club Lounge/Kitchen 260 starting at 6 p.m., complete with food and games.
Gregory College House is hosting a watch party in the film lounge starting at 6:30 p.m.
Lauder College House will be streaming the game in the Lauder College House Living Room from 6 p.m.
Fisher College House is hosting a Warm Up Party before the game from 4-5:30 p.m. They will have snacks and face painting in Goldberg Lounge.
Dubois College House’s watch party will begin at 6:30 at the Harold Haskins Multipurpose Room.
Off-campus
There are also numerous events off-campus for students who wish to experience the Super Bowl alongside local Eagles fans.
Smokey Joe’s will have a Super Bowl viewing party starting at 5 p.m.
New Deck Tavern will open at 4:30 p.m. for prepaid reservations, while bar spots and standing room are first come, first-serve.
Following the Eagles’ victory over the Commanders in the NFC Championship, large crowds gathered on Broad Street, where fans had been celebrating throughout the day. City Hall was illuminated in green as part of the city’s ongoing support for the team.
