On Jan. 30, Penn’s Faculty Senate hosted a panel discussion on the recent political challenges facing institutions of higher education. Titled “Higher Education and the State: How Politics are Reshaping America’s Great Universities,” the panel was the first installment of the Faculty Senate’s three-part colloquium series.
Annenberg Public Policy Center Director and Communication professor Kathleen Hall Jamieson moderated the panel, which featured three higher education leaders who discussed a number of issues facing American higher education, including threats to diversity, equity, and inclusion and pressure from donors.
