Good morning, Penn.
Happy Friday, Penn! Congrats on getting through a freezing midterm week! As the weather hopefully gets warmer, take some time to read The Daily Pennsylvanian’s recent coverage.

But first, Philadelphia City Councilmember Jamie Gauthier introduced a resolution Thursday condemning recent social media posts from 1968 Wharton graduate and President Donald Trump.
Jamie Gauthier introduced a resolution to Philadelphia City Council on Thursday condemning Donald Trump for referring to himself as a king.
Gauthier, who represents City Council’s third district — which includes University City — introduced the resolution at the Feb. 20 stated meeting. The resolution comes as a response to a Feb. 19 Truth Social post, in which Trump wrote “Long live the king!” in celebration of the Department of Transportation rescinding its approval for New York’s congestion pricing program.
“A president’s words matter, but President Trump’s actions prove that he truly sees himself more like a monarch than a president,” Gauthier wrote in a press release accompanying the resolution.

Music writer Amber Urena unpacks how social media, stan culture, and even the artists themselves have turned hating professionally into a dying art. Look, I get it — after all, I've written plenty of paragraphs on Lou Reed. But perhaps, it’s better for everyone if they just stayed in my Notes app.
