Nearly 200 people rallied in support of graduate student workers’ continued efforts to secure a contract with Penn, and two new courses have been added to the AI major undergraduate curriculum.
But first, Interim Penn President Larry Jameson addressed uncertainty surrounding Trump’s recent executive actions in a University-wide email.
Last night, Interim Penn President Larry Jameson addressed the uncertainty surrounding President and 1968 Wharton graduate Donald Trump's recent executive orders, including his administration’s decision to freeze federal funding, rollback DEI programs, and overhaul immigration policies.
In his email, Jameson wrote that Penn does “not know how these developments will play out.” He added that he has convened members of Penn’s administration and other leaders to understand the implications of the orders and ensure appropriate action is being taken.
Jameson’s statement marks the first time the University has commented on the second Trump administration’s first orders.
