Good morning, Penn.

Welcome back to Quaker Nation, Penn's premier sports newsletter.

Football suffered its third-straight Ivy League defeat with a loss to Yale on Friday night, while men's soccer clinched a spot in the Ivy League tournament with its fifth-straight conference victory. At the nearby Palestra, men's and women's basketball tipped off their seasons in their first action since a mass exodus of stars from the Ivy League last spring.

Start your week with the latest stories from DP Sports:

Clinching Quakers: Following a thrilling win over No. 16 Cornell in Ithaca last weekend, men's soccer returned to Rhodes Field and defended its home turf, earning a hard-fought 3-2 victory and clinching a spot in the Ivy League tournament.

Friday night frights: Football dropped to the bottom of the Ivy League standings after a lopsided 31-10 loss to Yale that included an injury to senior quarterback Aidan Sayin.
