Tuesday, April 9
Good morning, Penn.
Given how cloudy it was on Penn's campus yesterday, it turns out that DP Daybreak's coverage may indeed be more enlightening than the sun's.

The group, Penn Alumni Free Speech Alliance, was formed last winter, following the resignations of high-profile University leadership and extensive conversations about free speech on campus.
Clouds may have congested the view of the solar eclipse from campus — but they did not dampen the spirits of the Penn community, which gathered by the thousands to watch the stellar spectacle over shared viewing glasses, Moon Pies, and astronaut ice cream.
Opening statements will be heard today in the trial for the man charged with murdering former Penn student Blaze Bernstein in 2018.
From an excused absence policy for student athletes to protecting open expression, this year's Undergraduate Assembly candidates for president and vice president debated their experiences and goals.
The Annenberg Public Policy Center and the new Center for Science, Sustainability and the Media brought environmental journalists to campus for an annual conference on combatting disinformation.
The former president of Peru, who led his country through the COVID-19 pandemic, spoke about the "art of governance" at a Perry World House event.

The event was organized by the Penn Hindu & Jain Association and featured performances from Penn Raas, PENNaach, Penn Hype Dance Crew, Penn Masti, and Penn Dhamaka.
