Penn submitted a new motion to dismiss and strike the claims in the ongoing amended lawsuit regarding antisemitism on campus, and around 120 Philadelphia community members attended a rally at the Ben Franklin statue that called for Penn to evict a robotics company from Pennovation Works.
But first, students expressed discontent about Penn Dining's options during the month of Ramadan.
Several students who spoke with the DP voiced concerns with Penn Dining’s Ramadan food options, with some citing a lack of healthy options and others contended a lack of accessibility. The students also criticized the lack of halal food options on weekends and Penn's mandatory dining plan requirement for students in their first two years.
Multiple administrators told the DP that student feedback to Penn's Ramadan offerings has been overwhelmingly positive, citing Penn Dining's partnership with the Muslim Students Association.
A protest held in front of College Hall called for Penn to evict a company located in Pennovation Works, alleging that their robotic dogs are used as a tool of destruction in Gaza.
Penn filed a motion to dismiss the amended lawsuit against the University by three Jewish students, which alleges an insufficient response to antisemitism on Penn's campus.
