Grammy-nominated singer Matisyahu performed at Penn Hillel, and Penn Reproductive Justice held its first conference. 

But first, Penn graduate Caroline Strzalka appeared on ABC's "Shark Tank" to pitch a gaming app she co-founded — and credited her Penn education for her success in an interview with The Daily Pennsylvanian.

Penn alum appears on Shark Tank

2000 College graduate and 2005 Wharton MBA graduate Caroline Strzalka pitched her gaming app Overplay on ABC's Shark Tank, walking away with a $500,000 deal from billionaire Mark Cuban. 

After the episode aired on March 15, Strzalka spoke with The Daily Pennsylvanian about creating the app and how the skills she gained at Penn contributed to her entrepreneurial efforts.

  Over 200 community members went to Grammy-nominated Reggae artist Matisyahu's performance at Penn Hillel, with concerns of a possible counter-demonstration proving unfounded.

  An impact study found that the proposed 76ers in Chinatown arena could cost Philadelphia over $1 billion in lost tax revenue. 

  The DP spoke to three recent alumni who presented at the 2024 Wharton Undergraduate Annual Entrepreneurship Conference about their careers and the impact of their Penn education.

  Penn Reproductive Justice held its inaugural conference on March 23, featuring panels, workshops, and speeches. The conference discussed topics in reproductive justice such as intersectionality, activism, healthcare, and law.
