Fight Night donation saga prompts Wharton response amid student disappointment

Three weeks ago, an investigation by The Daily Pennsylvanian revealed allegations of Wharton’s student government failing to fulfill a promised $90,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia's Literacy Initiative, finding that only $75,000 of the approximately $165,000 raised from Fight Night's 2023 event has been donated to the Clubs.

How many finance majors do you know that dream of doing fine arts? Or future consultants who really ought to be cinematographers? It's not uncommon at Penn for passion to clash with pragmatism.
