The FDA released a new warning about a Penn-pioneered cancer treatment, and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce confirmed that it received requested documents from Penn as part of its antisemitism investigation launched two months ago.

A Penn lecturer's cartoons escalates campus antisemitism discourse
Annenberg School of Communication lecturer Dwayne Booth's cartoons have been denounced as antisemitic — and Interim President Larry Jameson criticized them in a recent statement. 

Booth, however, told the DP in an interview that the cartoons are intended to spark political debate — even as he faces mounting criticism from Jewish community members. Read the latest on the controversy here

  Penn began submitting documents to the House education committee in response for their antisemitism investigation — but said that the process would take several weeks beyond the Feb. 7 deadline.
  Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro released his initial budget proposal, which allocates money for the School of Veterinary Medicine despite state legislators withholding the school's funding in December 2023. 
  The FDA mandated a displayed warning for CAR-T cancer therapy — a treatment pioneered at Penn — amid concerns that it causes an increased risk of cancer.
