Happy Wednesday! Here's hoping the midweek midterm slump doesn't hit too hard and that the thought of warm spring break days ahead gets us all through it. 

Penn's Office of Admissions told the DP that it is undecided on whether to reinstate its standardized testing requirement for this year's college admissions cycle, and next year's Penn Global Seminars will take students to some brand-new locations.

But first, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School professor Amy Wax is appealing sanctions that a Faculty Senate hearing board recommended for her over the summer.

Hearing board recommends Wax sanctions, appeal underway

Penn Carey Law professor Amy Wax has been a controversial figure on Penn's campus in recent years amid allegations of inflammatory remarks and repeated invitations to a white nationalist.

Now, a Faculty Senate hearing board has recommended sanctions for Wax, who is appealing the ruling — which was approved by then-President Liz Magill in August 2023. If the ruling is upheld, it will mark the first time in recent history a tenured professor has been sanctioned through the Faculty Senate.
