It's always rainy in Philadelphia. My name is Gretta, and I'll be your Thursday morning anchor. 

A murder suspect escaped from police custody near Penn's campus, and the United States House Committee on Education and the Workforce demanded that Penn submit documents on antisemitism by Feb. 7.

But first, the DP spoke with 22 current and former colleagues of Interim President Larry Jameson — from his time at the Massachusetts General Hospital to Penn Medicine — to learn about his past, accomplishments, and expectations for his presidency.

Interim President Larry Jameson: Penn's caretaker leader

Larry Jameson, a clinician turned University administrator, has been interim president for just over a month — and there is perhaps no Penn leader to have taken office amid so much turmoil on campus.

DP reporters interviewed nearly two dozen colleagues of Jameson's at Northwestern University, Harvard Medical School, and Penn. Colleagues promoted his work ethic, intelligence, and reserved leadership style while detailing how he became the apparent choice for Penn's caretaker leader.
