Senior long jumper Victoria Agyin is our DP Sports Player of the Week after a stellar showing for the Quakers during the Big 5 meet on Saturday.

The Marietta, Ga. native posted a 5.90m distance in the long jump that secured the win for Penn in the event. Additionally, her success landed her the fifth best distance in program history. In first all-time stands recent graduate Camille Dickson, whose 6.24m distance in 2021 stands just over a third of a meter past Agyin's.

The event win marks the third time Agyin has won her event during her collegiate career. While she didn't reach the program record book during either of her other two victories, Agyin holds the Penn record in the indoor triple jump with a 12.67m jump during a February 2020 competition.

Honorable Mention(s):

Softball: Senior outfielder Corrie Phillips helped catapult the Quakers into one game out of first place in the Ivy League with a crucial game-winning three-run home run on Sunday against Cornell. The moonshot, which gave Penn the series win over the Big Red, served as Phillips' first run of the season.

Men’s Lacrosse: Senior goalkeeper Patrick Burkinshaw made 14 saves on 12 goals, which was good enough for a 53.8 save percentage in the Quakers' 12-11 overtime loss to Yale on Saturday. After the Bulldogs had taken an 11-8 lead, Burkinshaw made seven saves in a row to end regulation, which allowed the Red and Blue to force the extra period.
