Robbery:
Sept. 5: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect struck her in the face and took her cellphone in the unit block of North 38th Street at about 2:12 a.m.
Disorderly Conduct:
Sept. 4: The suspect was observed spray painting on the side of the Schattner Center building, located at 240 S. 40th St. The incident occurred at about 7:35 a.m., and the 27-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Nasir Jones, was issued a citation.
Burglary:
Sept. 1: The suspect entered the building without permission from the complainant but did not take any items. The incident occurred on the 200 block of Saint Marks Square at about 2:14 p.m. The 67-year-old unaffiliated male suspect, Jeffrey Miles, was identified and arrested after burglarizing another property.
Sept. 1: The complainant reported that the suspect entered the property through the open front door without permission and then left the premise with a bike. The incident occurred on the 4100 block of Locust Street at about 2:14 p.m. Jeffrey Miles, the same suspect from the previous burglary, was identified and arrested.
Theft from Building:
Sept. 1: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect took her wallet when she was inside the café at the Penn Bookstore, located at the intersection of 36th and Walnut streets. The incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m.
Sept. 1: The complainant reported a missing credit card after receiving fraud alerts from her credit card company. The incident occurred at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located at the intersection of 34th and Spruce streets, at about 4:45 p.m.
Sept. 4: The complainant reported a missing phone charger and laptop charger at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at about 5:00 p.m.
Retail Theft:
Sept. 4: The complainant reported that two individuals entered the 7-Eleven located at the intersection of 42nd and Walnut streets, took assorted items, and then left without paying. The incident occurred at about 6:11 a.m.
Other Thefts:
Sept. 3: The complainant reported leaving his bike locked to a pole on the street, but when he returned the backpack he had left in the basket was missing. The incident occurred at the intersection of 37th and Spruce streets at about 9:10 a.m.
Sept. 5: The complainant reported that packages that were delivered to the porch had been tampered with and that some items were missing. The incident occurred on the 4100 block of Pine Street at about 1:30 p.m.
Fraud:
Sept. 3: The complainant reported that fraudulent charges were made to her credit card. The incident was reported at 3941 Irving St. at about 12:01 a.m.
