Seven people were injured in a shooting at a West Philadelphia playground on Saturday night. Gunshots erupted at a cookout and basketball game near 54th and Lansdowne Avenue at approximately 9 p.m.
All of the victims were between the ages of 18 and 29, according to NBC10. The wounds were mostly in the arms and legs, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The victims were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition.
Five men and women were being treated at Penn Presbyterian Hospital and a man was sent to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
There were 200 to 300 people at the playground where the shooting took place, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said at a press conference. The festivities were so loud that people at the gathering didn't realize a shooting was taking place.
The police are looking for two male suspects aged 18-25.
