A Penn student was hit by a car at 36th and Chestnut streets at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday while walking to dinner with her friends. The student was not critically injured.
Penn Police and Philadelphia Police responded to the scene. Philadelphia Police 18th District Captain Matthew Gillespie said the incident may have been weather-related, adding that the student was treated by medics and is now in stable condition. The incident took place near the Sheraton Hotel.
The student was treated in an ambulance after the incident, but was not taken to a hospital.
