Penn has suspended normal operations and classes on Wednesday due to weather conditions. The announcement was sent out via a UPennAlert at about 9:30 p.m. to the Penn community on Tuesday night.
"Essential University staff and all Health System physicians and staff are required to report to work at their regularly scheduled start time and, if already present, remain at work per their supervisor’s instruction," the announcement read. "Please exercise caution and take your time in traveling to campus, if possible utilize public transit if available."
The Penn alert follows announcements that Temple University and all Philadelphia public schools will close Wednesday in anticipation of the snow storm.
There will be three to six inches of snow Wednesday, according to AccuWeather.
