PRINCETON N.J. — When Penn and Princeton meet, you know it’s going to be a good game.
With one half in the books at Jadwin Gym, Penn men’s basketball trails the Tigers 33-32 following a back-and-forth 20 minutes.
Although Penn raced out to an early lead — up by 19-10 at one point, the home side clawed its way back into the game right away. Princeton took a 23-21 lead with just over eight minutes to go in the half and both teams traded the lead until the break.
Junior forward AJ Brodeur leads the Quakers with 13 points and six rebounds, and freshman guard Bryce Washington added a pair of three-pointers for six points and two rebounds on the game.
Big men senior Max Rothschild and freshman Michael Wang are coming off injuries that kept them out of the team's last game, but both are right in the line of play with no apparent physical issues thus far. The pair might need some time to shake off the rust, however, and have combined for four points and three turnovers.
For the home side, center Richmond Aririguzoh has a team-high 10 points, and senior guard Myles Stephens put up seven points and rebounds.
