A reported robbery with a weapon on the 3500 block of Chestnut St. prompted a UPenn Alert on Jan. 12.
At 5:45 p.m. on Friday night, the Division of Public Safety issued a UPenn Alert notifying the Penn community of a nearby robbery.
The alert linked to the DPS website which provided further information on the incident. It described the suspect as a roughly 20-year-old thin, black man, donning an orange jacket.
The website also noted that additional officers were patrolling the area of the crime.
DPS sent an all-clear notification at 6:10 p.m. They were not immediately available for comment.
