Do you like free food? Do you like football? Do you want to do something other than prepare for that interview you have next week?
Well, you’re in luck!
Penn Athletics will be hosting their first Fan Fest of the season this Friday before the Red and Blue’s Ivy League opener again Dartmouth. The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. at Shoemaker Green, which is the green field right in front of the Palestra, and right next to DRL (David Rittenhouse Laboratory).
The Fan Fest, which is free to enter, will include many different attractions, including free food, beer, and a live DJ. Penn Athletics will also be hosting a similar Fan Fest prior to Penn football's season finale against Cornell on November, 18. The event mirrors similar popular events that are held at many Power-5 conference schools like USC, Florida State, and Texas.
This is the second consecutive year that Penn Athletics is hosting these events, which are aimed at encouraging people, especially students, to showcase their school spirit. Last year, there were four separate Fan Fest events, two during the football season and two before men's basketball games.
The event promises to be entertaining and will serve as a great warmup to the main event on Franklin Field. Come get rowdy and ready to root on your defending Ivy League Champs on Friday.
