Tonight, this is when to look for incoming elections results from some closely-watched states:
7 p.m.: Polls close for Virginia and Georgia. When results come in afterwards, look for a close election in Virginia early in the evening before the results from the Democrat-favoring northern portion of the State are tallied, according to the Wall Street Journal.
7:30 p.m.: Polls close for Ohio and North Carolina. According to CNN, early voting results in North Carolina appear to show Clinton behind Obama’s lead prior to the 2012 elections. Look for North Carolina to be one of the most competitive states tonight.
8 p.m.: Polls close for Florida, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. The Wall Street Journal expects the results of the election to be clear after Florida and New Hampshire begin reporting. “Both candidates will be watching New Hampshire and Florida,” the Journal reports. Pennsylvania may also be a close election, depending on the results of Philadelphia suburbs and white women votes according to NPR.
