According to reports published in Newsweek and the Washington Post, students, faculty, and alumni from Brown, Harvard, Yale and Columbia are asking their respective school administrators to turn their campuses into “sanctuaries” for undocumented students. This would help people who potentially face deportation under President-elect and Wharton alumnus Donald Trump.

The Post article points out that college officials are “deeply concerned about immigrant students who were admitted because of their academic achievement and potential. Those students now face fears about educational opportunity swept away and possible deportation.”

People on each campus have begun petitions and letters advocating on behalf of undocumented students and these documents have collectively amassed thousands of signatures.
