Ohio Gov. John Kasich will suspend his presidential campaign, Politico reported Wednesday.
The news comes one day after the Indiana primary, which produced a sweeping victory for 1968 Wharton graduate Donald Trump and caused fellow Republican candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to drop out of the race Tuesday night.
Kasich said Tuesday night that he would continue his campaign, Politico wrote, but then decided to drop out after Cruz announced his suspension and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called Trump his party's presumptive nominee.
The Kasich campaign canceled a talk Wednesday morning at Washington Dulles International Airport and scheduled a press conference for 5 p.m.
