The Division of Public Safety has issued three UPennAlerts in four days. 

Fraud:

Jan. 28: At 9:20 p.m., an unaffiliated 33-year-old woman reported observing two suspects paying for drinks with counterfeit U.S. currency at Distrito on 39th and Chestnut streets.

Feb. 1: At 1:30 a.m., an unaffiliated 28-year-old woman asked an acquaintance to use her debit card to purchase food for her while she stayed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a patient. The acquaintance instead withdrew cash from the account.  

Robbery:

Jan. 31: At 2:06 p.m., an unaffiliated 40-year-old man reported that an acquaintance took a digital tablet at gunpoint from a store on 40th and Market streets.

Vandalism:

Jan 30: At 12:56 a.m., an unaffiliated 23-year-old man was arrested after he was observed intentionally defacing public property at the 100 block of South 39th Street.

Jan 31: At 7 p.m., an affiliated 60-year-old-man reported graffiti in a stairwell at the Singh Center for Nanotechnology on Walnut Street.

Sex Offense:

A confidential offense was reported. 

Feb 1: At 10:10 p.m., an affiliated 19-year-old woman reported observing a male walking with his penis exposed near 37th and Locust Walk. 

Other offense:

Jan. 27: At 10:05 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at the Starbucks on 34th and Chestnut streets. Upon investigation, a 51-year-old woman was found to have an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and was arrested.
