Penn football's special teams unit has proved itself to be quite valuable for the Red and Blue this year. While the 'Gold Squad' often flies under the radar, this photo gallery shows off the groups collective personality and prowess.

From left to right: Freshman punter Hunter Kelley, junior kicker Jimmy Gammill, senior kicker Connor Loftus, sophomore kicker Aron Morgan and freshman long snapper Zach O'Leary. Not pictured: Freshman punter Brock Elmore.

O'Leary (right) is considered the jokester of the group and deals with some fun-loving ridicule from the group.

Who knew that Connor Loftus (center) made such a good leg rest? Or that Zach O'Leary can fly?

Freshman punter Hunter Kelley earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors after his first game and has been solid at punter since that game.

Senior kicker Connor Loftus (left) is considered the leader of Penn's special teams unit. This picture comes from 2012 Homecoming, when Loftus booted the game-tying and game-winning field goals to beat Brown.

Loftus took over as leader of the group after All-Ivy punter Scott Lopano graduated. Lopano was the starting punter for three Ivy League championship squads.

Junior kicker Jimmy Gammill, who former punter Max Kurucar referred to as 'butter' due to his smooth kicking motion, has been strong as placekicker for the Red and Blue this season, going 9-for-11 on kicks.

Yes, this was a posed photo. But no, Zach O'Leary still couldn't keep a straight face.

A mix of smiles and serious faces as the Gold Squad is on display.
