Hello to summertime in Philly.

While Penn is much emptier than what we’re accustomed to, the campus and the rest of Philadelphia are still bustling throughout the hot summer months. From May to August, The Summer Pennsylvanian will continue to honor its commitment to bring to you all the latest news and need-to-know.

We aren’t so “daily” anymore in the summer, as we publish weekly on Thursdays. However, this won’t inhibit the stories we cover. We still seek to publish a wide range of content in news and sports on matters that you care about. (Did you know that in April, Penn police helped bust a crime ring centered around stealing and reselling deli meat? I didn’t either. Check out the article online at theDP.com.)

Read 34th Street over the summer for your fix of cool events and places to explore on your weekends off from classes or your job. Not here? No problem, browse 34st.com. Try out the Drink of the Week — it might just become your drink of the summer.

Don’t feel left out of the going-ons back on campus as theDP.com will also be constantly updated with new content that you can access wherever you’ll be this summer — New York or Hong Kong, or anywhere in between. Catch us on social media by following us on Twitter and Instagram (@dailypenn), and by liking our Facebook page. We look forward to serving you this summer, and hope you are excited as well.

Jenny Lu is the editor-in-chief of the Summer Pennsylvanian and is a College junior from Chapel Hill, N.C. Her email address is jennyl@sas.upenn.edu.
