A female Penn student was struck by a car at the intersection of 38th and Walnut streets at approximately 2:45 p.m.
The student was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by an ambulance for treatment. The injuries are not life-threatening, according to the Division of Public Safety.
Penn Police officers arrived at the scene soon after the accident and blocked off the south lane of 38th Street.
Officers at the scene confirmed that the car, a maroon Suzuki, was turning south onto 38th Street from Walnut Street when it struck the student. The upper left corner of the car’s windshield was cracked.
A black male and a white female were seen sitting inside the car after the accident.
