Aman Gupta, Louis Markham, Phillip Fuchs and Katherine Mateo. What these names have in common, besides the fact that they represent some intensely attractive people, is their recognition of Penn’s imperfection. As great an institution as it is, even the best could be better, and we’re running together on the platform of exposing the true costs of courses on Penn in-touch, in order to promote a more transparent academic experience. Beyond that, I think the university is in a unique position to offer a single buyer option to textbook retailers, aligning incentives in favour of both eco and pocket friendliness. As students at one of the best institutions in the world, we should be able to reasonably expect a level of human dignity, and not have to deal with sinks clogged with the hair of giants, and puddles of mosquito laden water.
