Thanks to a new phone application, Penn InTouch is now literally at students’ fingertips.
A mobile Penn InTouch platform was released on March 16. It is available through all mobile web browsers at m.upenn.edu/PIT.
The mobile app will allow students to check their financial aid status, receive general announcements, search for courses and tap their advisors’ names to send an e-mail.
The app will not, however, allow students to register for or drop classes, check loan information or obtain a transcript.
More than 90 percent of all Penn students now use mobile devices, according to a statement from the University.
“We feel certain that this exciting new capability will allow us to better serve our increasingly mobile community,” Vice President of Information Systems and Computing Robin Beck said in a statement.
