Lori Doyle announced Wednesday afternoon that she will step down as Vice President for University Communications at the end of the month.
Doyle, who has worked at Penn since 1992 and served in her current role since 2001, will become Senior Vice President of University Communications at Drexel University following her departure from Penn.
While at Penn, Doyle has served as the primary spokesperson and strategist for the University. Penn President Amy Gutmann said Doyle “has built a terrific team in communications” during her tenure.
Gregory S. Rost, Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Office of the President, will lead the University’s search for Doyle’s successor. Rost will collaborate with an executive search firm.
Phyllis Holtzman, associate vice president of University Communications, will serve as the Interim Vice President for University Communications until a successor is named.
“Lori’s decade of achievement has been defined by collaborative leadership, unflagging adaptability, and diverse expertise,” Gutmann said in a press release. “She has been a key figure in communicating Penn’s eminence by sharing the successes of our 12 undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools with constituencies across the country and around the world.”
