First Lady Michelle Obama will be headlining a Get Out the Vote rally at Wynn Commons at 7 p.m. on Monday night, Penn Democrats President Emma Ellman-Golan confirmed.
Students and community members are allowed to start arriving at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to refrain from bringing large bags, laptops and backpacks. A security guard will be scanning bags with a handheld device, Ellman-Golan added. Posters are also not allowed.
The First Lady’s final push to attract young voters and to gain high turnout in Philadelphia reflects how critical both factors are to a Democratic victory on Tuesday, political analysts report.
President Barack Obama has stumped in Pennsylvania four times in the past six weeks, including three times in Philadelphia.
