If Penn sprint football thought its 57-7 victory over Princeton Sept.25 was a rout, the Quakers apparently had no powers of premonition.

Penn finished off its season with a 91-13 drubbing of the Tigers Thursday night in Princeton. N.J. The Penn offense scored a remarkable 13 touchdowns on 728 yards of total offense.

After an opening-drive field goal by Quakers kicker Raiam Dos Santos and a 32-yard touchdown connection between quarterback Todd Busler and Whit Shaw on Penn’s second drive, Princeton showed offensive ability of its own with a 71-yard touchdown.

But that was essentially it from the Tigers offense, while the Quakers were just getting started. Penn scored the next 62 points. By halftime, the Red and Blue were up 51-7.

Junior running back Mike Bagnoli scored three consecutive touchdowns in the first half, finishing the day with 144 yards. Teammate Whit Shaw compiled the exact same number of yards and touchdowns — all in the air.

The Quakers also nabbed five interceptions, two of which they capitalized on for scores, and one fumble recovery. Penn’s defense was just as impressive as its offense, holding the Tigers to a meagre 178 yards in total offense.

As far as season finales go, this one has got to be near the top of the heap.
