The sentencing of former Wharton Marketing professor Scott Ward, which was scheduled for today, has been postponed.
Ward pled guilty to five child pornography related charges last November. He could receive a sentence up to life in prison.
He is currently serving a 15-year sentence at a low-security Western Pennsylvania correctional facility for other child pornography related convictions, to which he was sentenced in May 2007.
Ward was first arrested on Aug. 9, 2006, at Dulles International Airport in Virginia, when officials found child pornography on his laptop as well as pornographic materials in his luggage.
Additionally, Ward was charged with engaging in sexual activities with a young boy in Brazil, who he enticed with gifts for the boy and his poor family.
He also attempted to obtain a visa for the boy to come to the United States and visit Ward in his Massachusetts home.
Patricia Hartman, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office said the sentencing has not been rescheduled yet, adding that rescheduling usually takes a few days to finalize.
"All parties agreed to delay [the sentencing]," said Hartman.
