The task of writing this farewell has been on my mind for months. While I knew I had to do it, finding a way to fit four years into 700 words wasn't easy.

I thought the best way to bid adieu to my undergraduate life was with a nice bedtime story a la Goodnight Moon. I've got a big campus of things to say goodnight to, unlike the bunny from the story, so here goes:

Goodnight, DP. What made me stick around for four years? It couldn't have been the pizza.

Goodnight, Schwenk. You'll miss me the most. I'm most upset that the habit of calling you by your last name ends with this year's graduates.

To be fair, goodnight Ashwin. I know I was your favorite, too.

Goodnight professors. I wouldn't be so educated without you.

Goodnight class, seminars and meetings. My schedule is wide open now - and will be until I get a job. I'd take another class over that emptiness any day.

Goodnight homework, papers and exams. You're all on my backup hard drive and will be great souvenirs down the road.

Goodnight West Philadelphia. I'm glad I am walking away unscathed.

Goodnight Center City. With a healthy stream of restaurants, new and old, and dozens of BYOs, I was certainly entertained for four years and never got bored.

Goodnight SEPTA. You got the job done, kinda.

Goodnight Fresh Grocer. It'll be hard to find a worse grocery store than you. The diagonals still confuse me.

Goodnight Monday night New Deck Quizzo. You are by far the best quizzo on this campus.

Goodnight Mad4 margaritas. Anything labeled "Big Azz" is worth the money.

Goodnight food carts. Lunch was never more than $6 away.

Goodnight Pottruck. You never gave up on me, I apologize for my longer absences.

Goodnight Perelman Quad. Why do you have five buildings if you're a quad?

Goodnight Button. The inspiration for a great blog and possibly more iconic than Benjamin Franklin.

Goodnight Van Pelt. I'm sorry we weren't better friends. I hope you understand.

Goodnight Huntsman. I think we spent the perfect amount of time together.

Goodnight Locust Walk. Thanks to you, I've developed an aversion to flyers. I think that disgust will stick around for the rest of my life.

Goodnight wind tunnel. It's nice to know you can experience hurricane-force winds on a city block.

Goodnight squirrels. I really appreciate you jumping out of trash cans and scaring me.

Goodnight Penn Bookstore. You have a knack for doubling how much everyone intends to spend.

Goodnight Quad. You were and always will be my first choice for freshmen housing. I was right Ware I wanted to be.

Goodnight high rises. You gave me more storage space than my off-campus apartment. But of course, I moved out right before renovations.

Goodnight Hamilton Court. The newly painted walls stepped your luxury up to the max. What a beautiful place, especially that courtyard.

Goodnight mouse. You didn't live in my apartment, but I'll miss you terrifying my friends nonetheless.

Goodnight communication. It may be a hot major, but hiring Comm graduates doesn't seem to be.

Buenas noches las clases de espanol. No podia imaginar que dedicara tanto tiempo a estos estudios desde hacia cuatro anos.

Goodnight Spring Fling. Would it be tacky for me to come back and say hello next year? I can't fry Oreos myself.

Goodnight Hey Day. Top of my list for best days ever. And for most hilarious, telling photos.

Goodnight friends. Thanks for making fun of me for four years. I love you too.

Goodnight Penn. For four years, you've been home. I don't want a new one just yet, but you leave me no choice. I'll miss you.
