A water shutdown will occur in parts of the Quadrangle for most of the day today.
The upper Quad and the south side of the Quad will be without water for about eight hours, according to an e-mail to Quad residents from Housing Services. The shutdown was expected to begin between 10 and 11 a.m.
The water shutdown is due to a break in the water main near the Richards Medical Research Laboratories, located at 3700 Hamilton Walk. The Philadelphia Water Department is fixing the main.
