Tonight, Penn students will be strutting their stuff on campus, modeling the artistic creations of over 10 student designers.

Smaller than its spring edition, the annual Dzine2Show fall fashion show is a sample of the dedication and success of the University's premier fashion organization, which was founded in 2003.

Wharton senior Christine Cheng, Dzine2Show events coordinator and model, described the event as a cornerstone of the semester.

"I would say that the show is just a lot of fun and is inspiring. It's really as much of an event as it is a show. People get all dressed up, and it's great to see what amazing style Penn students have," she said.

The pieces in the collection were made by students as well as donated from local boutiques such as Matthew Izzo, Echo Chic and Revelations.

Club members have enjoyed the yearlong process of watching their creations come alive - from designing the pieces to casting and fitting the models. Preparations for the show included hosting auditions and teaching the models how to "walk " for the runway.

Last semester, professionals from the fashion industry such as model agents and buyers from designer stores came to view the spring show.

College junior Callie O'Neill, editor in chief of The Walk, the fashion magazine of Dzine2Show, believes the show is a perfect opportunity for Penn students who are interested in a career in fashion.

"Not many schools have such a complete club that is based around creating runway shows. The passion of our members will be reflected in the quality and uniqueness of this exhibition," she said.

The event will take place this evening at 5 and 7 p.m. in Hoover Lounge at Vance Hall. Tickets will still be on sale on the Walk and cost $10 for general admission and $15 for VIP.
