Theft
Aug. 28 - Two juveniles were arrested by the Penn Police for allegedly attempting to remove secured bicycles from a bike rack at 415 Curie Blvd. by cutting the locks at about 1:45 p.m.
Aug. 28 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an offender broke into his secured vehicle and removed his GPS device at about 5:30 a.m. Penn Police arrested alleged offender Michael Young, 43, from the 1600 block of N. 25th St.
Aug. 29 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that offenders attempted to steal his unsecured bicycle from the 4200 block of Walnut at about 6:00 p.m. Penn Police arrested the alleged offenders: Derek White, 21, of the unit block of 46th St., and a male juvenile whose name is not released, age 15.
Aug. 29 - A male employee reported that an unknown suspect removed about $1,000 from his unattended wallet at about 3:00 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located at 3400 Spruce St.
Aug. 29 - A male employee reported that an unknown suspect removed a laptop from his secured office at Stemmler Hall, 3450 Hamilton Walk, at about 2:15 p.m.
Aug. 29 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that an unknown suspect entered his secured hotel room at the Sheraton, located at 3549 Chestnut St., at about 10:15 p.m. and removed about $1,000 from his wallet.
Aug. 29 - A male unaffiliated with the University reported that his bike, secured with a cable lock, was stolen in front of Izzy and Zoe's, located at 224 S. 40th St, at about 1:00 a.m. Penn Police located and arrested the alleged offender: Darryl Eggelston, 60, from the 300 block of N. 40th St.
Aug. 30 - A female employee reported her laptop was stolen from an office at the Penn Law School, located at 3443 Sansom St., at about 11:30 a.m.
Burglary
Aug. 27 - Two students from separate residences - one male, one female - reported that an unknown suspect broke into their secured apartments on the 300 block of 42nd St. at about 5:00 p.m. and removed their personal property of unknown value.
