Theft

Apr. 5 - A female student, 21, reported that her bike, secured with a wire lock, was stolen from a rear porch on the 3900 block of Pine Street at about 7:00 p.m.

Apr. 4 - An unknown suspect was reportedly observed taking items from American Apparel, located at 3651A Walnut St. at about 11.30 a.m.

Apr. 3 - A male staff member, 52, reported that, at about 7.30 a.m, an unknown person broke into his secured vehicle in Garage 7, located at 3220 South St., and removed a GPS device and laptop computer, worth about $2,200.

Apr. 2 - A female staff member, 51, reported that a fax machine and small portable television were stolen from her unsecured office in Ralston House, located at 3615 Chestnut St., at about 8:00 a.m.

Apr. 2 - A 43-year old woman, unaffiliated with the University, reported that a laptop and phone were stolen in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, located on Civic Center Boulevard, at about 12 p.m.

Apr. 2 - A female student, 19, reported that her iPod, of unknown value, was removed from an unsecured locker in the Pottruck center, located at 3701 Walnut St., at about 8:00 p.m.

Mar. 31 - A 23-year-old woman, unaffiliated with the University, reported that someone broke into her car on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street and stole a GPS device at about 2:30 a.m.

Narcotic

Apr. 1 - Alexander Sims, 45, of the 800 block of West Baltimore Ave. and unaffiliated with the University, was stopped by police on the 3900 block of Market Street after he was allegedly seen to have several bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine at about 1:00 p.m.

Disorderly Conduct

Apr. 2 - Richard Thomas, 44, of the 1900 block of 61st Street and unaffiliated with the University, entered a bus on the 3400 block of Walnut Street and allegedly began yelling profanities at about 4:50 p.m.

DUI

Apr. 4 - Matthew Guza, 32, of the 500 block of Vine Street, Hazleton, Pa., and unaffiliated with the University, was observed allegedly driving southbound on the 3800 block of Spruce Street at about 1:30 a.m. and was arrested for DUI.

Apr. 3 - Larheim Brown, 32, of the 400 block of Hobart St. and unaffiliated with the University, was seen allegedly staggering to his vehicle on the 200 block of 40th St. and attempting to move the vehicle from its parking space. After several failed attempts, Larheim allegedlly fell asleep behind the wheel with the ignition still on and was arrested for DUI at about 1:00 a.m.
