Today, for the last time, The Daily Pennsylvanian was published by its 122nd Board of Editors. Beginning on Monday, the names listed above - along with those on page two - will change, and a new board of editors will take the reins of Penn's newspaper of record.

For the past year, a staff of 19 editors and seven managers have worked tirelessly producing the 135 issues that you have read (or at least briefly glanced it, while looking for Sudoku).

In the last year, the editors, along with hundreds of writers, photographers, finance staffers and many more, have strived to bring interesting, compelling content to your fingertips.

And, more and more, not just in print. The 122nd Board completely redesigned the DP's Web site, introduced a new opinion blog and a new sports blog, which consistently provided live Penn sports game updates.

In the newspaper, we've also worked hard to provide you not just with unique stories you can't find anywhere else, but stories that interest you as well.

Along with the newspaper's content, the DP Editorial Board has also made the newspaper more open and accessible.

Just last semester, all stories in the DP began listing the author's e-mail address, so readers could easily contact them with comments and questions. A new blog, "On the Ground," consists of reader comments on a wide range of issues important to Penn students. We also worked hard to recruit a diverse group of columnists, and more than 100 of you responded to our call in the last year.

While a new set of men and women will soon take charge of this newspaper, these goals will continue to hold an important place at the DP.

Covering everything from murder trials and Halloween photos, the 122nd Board of Editors worked to keep you abreast of the latest news on Penn's campus. The next Editorial Board is ready, able and eager to continue the tradition.
