Ex-Wharton professor Scott Ward's arraignment date should be set by Saturday, according to the Clerk's Office at the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va.

A judge had set Nov. 10 as the deadline. At the arraignment, Ward could be officially charged.

Ward was arrested in August for allegedly importing child pornography.

Ward also faces additional charges in Pennsylvania for possession of child pornography allegedly found in his Huntsman Hall office.

While remaining on Penn's faculty, Ward had faced two previous charges of sexual misconduct. He was acquitted in 1995 for allegedly paying a male teenage prostitute for sex.

And in 1999, Ward entered a plea allowing there was enough evidence to convict, but not admitting guilt, for soliciting sex from a state trooper posing as a teenage boy.

Ward's attorney, Peter Greenspun, has not returned repeated calls for comment.
