Getting the job done
To the Editor:
From responding to a broken sprinkler pipe to cleaning up the water that resulted, to removing the ice and the snow in and around the campus and, yes, the day-to-day upkeep of all of the buildings here at Penn, the job is getting accomplished.
There are those of us in Facilities Services who want to accomplish the same goals as the administration: providing a safe and clean atmosphere here at Penn.
In working for the University in Facilities Services for the past 22 years, I have seen both the negative and the positive from those in management and those of us that are employees. There are those of us among the employees who go the "extra mile" not to benefit themselves but to provide a vital service that is important to the Penn community.
No matter what the work may be, from changing a light fixture to removing trash, the employees of Facilities Services are in fact getting the job done and the mission to this University accomplished.
