One man remained hospitalized and another in police custody yesterday after a dispute between two construction workers renovating Hamilton College House Monday resulted in a stabbing.
Sam Hrynazyszyn, 25 and David Ingraham, 38, both of Philadelphia, reportedly got into an argument over their work schedule, according to Deputy Chief of Investigations Bill Danks.
Although co-workers of Hrynazyszynand Ingraham were able to break up the initial fight, the two began arguing again, leading Ingraham to reportedly pull out a knife and stab Hrynazyszyn three times in the stomach and upper chest.
Hrynazyszyn suffered serious wounds including damage to his aorta. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment where he remains in "critical but stable" condition, according to Danks.
Ingraham was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to murder, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
He remains in police custody, according to Danks, who emphasized that the assault did not involve any students and occured on a vacant construction sight.
"Because of the way [the construction sight] was fenced off, there were no students near," he said. "This was an incident between two co-workers that got out of hand," he said.
