For the fifth time this academic year, a University student has died tragically. Though we do not know her name, her class, her school or the precise circumstances of her death, the loss is another terrible blow to an already shaken community.
To her friends and family, we offer our sympathy. And we ask that the University community once again come together to offer its support to those grieving.
The past 12 months have been marked by unspeakable horrors and terrible tragedies on and away from campus. Understandably, there will be members of the Penn community who need help getting through these difficult times.
We urge those people to utilize the many resources that the University offers. Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health and the Reach-a-Peer Helpline are always available to those in need.
