Down by as many as 12 points in the second half, the Penn men's basketball team battled back to stun Georgia Tech, 79-74, at the Alexander Memorial Coliseum tonight.
Back to his freshman year form, Ugonna Onyekwe terrorized the Yellow Jackets in the paint, scoring a game-high 30 points
while pulling down eight rebounds. The 6-foot-8 forward was also a perfect 4-for-4 from behind the arc.
Fellow junior Koko Archibong chipped in 13 points and seven assists. Backcourt starters Tim Begley and Andy Toole played well
in their first game in a Penn uniform. Begley hit three three-pointers en route to 11 points, and Toole added nine points and
seven assists.
The Quakers shot the lights out from downtown, nailing 13-of-28 three pointers for a .464 percentage.
Marvin Lewis led the way for the Yellow Jackets, scoring an even 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
